Longview double gold in London!
The Decanter World Wine Awards are hailed as being one of the most prestigious wine competitions in the world. Literally up against the world’s best, it is high praise indeed to be awarded any medal at an event of this calibre. Winning double gold therefore is an accolade almost unparalleled and one we can only hope to repeat with future vintages.
It is no news to us that Longview wine is of such exceptional quality but it is humbling and supremely satisfying to be validated in such a forum.
What the judges said about the 2007 Devils Elbow Cabernet Sauvignon:
'Pure ink in the glass, packed with berries and rosemary on the palate, with firm tannins and pleasant length of flavour.'
And notes on the 2007 Yakka Shiraz were as follows:
'Spicy elegant nose, a violet hue, and jammy, sweet fresh and oaky blackberry fruit, on a woody and creamy palate.'
Sounds good enough to drink! Both these wines are available through our Cellar Door page.
